Balogun Market Officials Shift resumption For Security Reasons

The Caretaker Management Committee of Balogun market, Lagos Trade Fair Complex, has shifted its resumption, earlier scheduled for the 4th of January to the 11th of January.

The shift according to the Secretary of the committee, Leonard Ogbonnia was for security reasons.

Ogbonnia noted that reopening the complex, as earlier scheduled, may endanger the lives and property of members, and hence the shift in date.

He informed that the security reports reaching the office of the caretaker committee on daily basis was threatening, alarming and unpalatable to the original plans to reopen on the 4th of January 2021.
