Lagos Police Warn Ambulance Operators Against Plying On BRT Lane, Driving Against Traffic.

Lagos State Police Command has warned that on no account should ambulances with or without patients drive against traffic or on the BRT lane.

According to the command, the warning became imperative as it noticed the continual disregard to Traffic regulations and nonchalant attitudes of Ambulance drivers, who have continued to drive against traffic and recklessly plying the BRT Corridors.

To this end, the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, warns that impoundment of ambulances who flout traffic rules have started and it will continue nonstop.

He advises Ambulance Operators who must ply the BRT lanes, to seek and obtain approval from the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA.

According to him, Police would not fold its arm when this law is being violated with impunity by members of the public that have penchant for breaking the law.
