Apapa LGA Chairman Charges Secondary Schools on Science Competitions

Principals of Secondary Schools in Lagos State have been advised to organized regular Science competitions for their pupils in order to acquaint themselves with modern techniques in science.

Chairman, Apapa Local Government, Adele Owolabi, said the gesture would go a long way in helping the nation’s secondary school science pupils to attain greater heights on the subject, adding that they should endeavor to engage them in technical and science-oriented programs.

Noting that some of the pupils are naturally endowed in the subject, Adele, commended the management of Agindingbi Junior Grammar School, for deeming it necessary to organize a “Science Day Celebration” event to motivate and encourage their pupils to continue working harder to become successful in life.

According to him, Apapa local government has concluded to sponsor two pupils who performed excellently in a science program organized in the area to a workshop at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
