Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has dropped to the second spot in the English Premier League, EPL, top tacklers’ race due to the injury he sustained in the English Premier League, EPL.
Ndidi, had a successful operation on his meniscus last Thursday and his absence had been greatly felt by the club which played One- all draw against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg tie.
Portuguese international, Ricardo Pereira, who is Ndidi’s teammate, now has a record of ninety tackles ahead of the Nigeria’s international, who had eighty- five tackles.
Prior to last weekend’s league matches, Ndidi tops with eighty-five tackles while Pereira was second with eighty-three tackles.
The Nigeria’s international, who has two goals in twenty EPL appearances, in the ongoing league season, is expected to return to soccer action within four to six weeks.
