Lagos gov signs N1.6tn budget into law

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has signed the year Twenty-twenty one point one six eight trillion Naira Budget into Law.

Governor Sanwo-Olu assured Lagosians of his administration’s commitment to ensure the budget performed one hundred percent in order to have positive narratives for the citizens.

Governor Sanwo-Olu who commended Chairmen and members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Joint Committee on the year Twenty-twenty Appropriation and Finance for their efforts, said the new year would be peaceful and engaging for Lagos State.

Also, the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Sam Egube, said the event was significant as it set the tone for a greater Lagos, saying Lagosians would be deeply satisfied with the year Twenty-twenty budget implementation and performance.

Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, who commended the Governor for a well-drafted proposal, urged the executive arm of government to block loopholes in revenue generation of all the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, MDAs, in the State.
