Chairman, Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit (Taskforce), Chief Superintendent Olayinka Egbeyemi, has warned the general public that the agency is set to begin a clean-up exercise by removing illegal structures in Lekki, Lagos.
This, according to Egbeyemi is to enhance the free flow of traffic in that corridor.
The Agency had on December Twelve, issued a seven-day ‘Removal Order’ to all owners of illegal structures at ‘Marwa Waterside’.
He said the order became imperative in the light of road construction that would start along the coastal road which would serve as an alternative route for the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
Egbeyemi said a two-day grace would be given after the expiration of the ‘Removal Order’ on Thursday, December 19 warning that the agency would clampdown on all criminal elements disturbing law-abiding residents within the said area.
