The management of Radio Lagos/Eko fm has been commended for its contribution to the education sector in the state.
Commissioner for education, Folashade Adefisayo, gave the commendation at a syposium, commermorating the second edition of Islamic Education Fair,IEF, organised by Radio Lagos and Eko fm.
The honourable Commissioner said Governor Sanwo-Olu’s adminstration would ever be grateful to the broadcasting stations for their contributions towards the betterment of youth education.
Also speaking at the syposium, the Chief Missioner, Ansarudeen Worldwide, Abdulrahaman Ahmad said the greatest gift a parent could give to the children was proper upbringing because children were entrusted into the parents’ hands.
Ahmad said every child had the potentials to be great and excel in life, but the environment in which the child cohabited would dictate how far he could go in life, while expressing regret that some children were born, but not raised.
The Islamic Cleric was of the view that children were expected to excel in honesty, character, knowledge and wisdom.
This year edition of the Islamic Education Fair, will last for three days.
