Lagos State Government has restated its commitment to ensure that public servants in the state engage in recreational and sporting activities saying this will lead to excellence service delivery as well as Healthy living for workers.
President, Lagos State Public Service Club, Olufemi Ajenifuja, stated this at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre Alausa, Ikeja, at a Press Briefing as part of activities marking the Club’s fortieth Anniversary and unveiling of its Logo, with the theme” Celebrating four decades of excellence”.
Ajenifuja said there was need to create awareness about the Lagos State Public Service Club, established in Nineteen Seventy Nine by the administration of Lateef Jakande to provide a forum for social and sporting activities among officials of the state public service and the general public.
Ajenifuja thanked Jakande for his foresight in creating a recreational centre for public servants in the state, saying the club had experienced geometric developmental supports from past administrations in Lagos.
He also commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the grand patron, and the State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola for their support.
