Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has called for behavioural change on the part of the citizens towards ensuring sustainable solution to demographic growth and effect of climate change.
Speaking at a Symposium ahead of the 2020 Africa/ France summit on sustainable cities and territories, the Governor also emphasised the need for collaborative efforts of both Public and Private sectors.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, the Governor noted that Lagos was one of the fastest growing cities in the world, with increasing pressure on its facilities.
He assured that government was confronting the challenges and hope that the Symposium would open doors of opportunities.
Speaking earlier, Ambassador of France to Nigeria, Jerome Pasquier, explained that the summit was put together to critically address the issue of climate change around the world.
