Flying Officer Kafayat Sanni has emerged Nigeria’s first female fighter pilot.
The Nigerian Air Force has also winged its first female helicopter pilot, Tolulope Arotile.
The two, who had successfully completed their pilot training courses in United States of America and South Africa, were among thirteen that have been winged.
A newly promoted first female Air Warrant Officer, Grace Garba, has also been decorated with her new rank.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, said the thirteen pilots qualified for the award of the NAF prestigious Wing.
