South Africa says it will be sending a delegation from both the African National Congress, ANC, and its government to former Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe’s, funeral at the weekend.
ANC’s Secretary General, Ace Magashule, stated that President Cyril Ramaphosa, would lead the delegation as both head of state and leader of the party.
Magashule said the delegation would be made up of ANC leaders, government officials and many other leaders adding that this was because Mugabe had played a very important role as a pan-African in South Africa.
Meanwhile, the body of Robert Mugabe had left Singapore on a private flight destined for his home country of Zimbabwe.
The former president had been receiving hospital treatment in the city state before he died last week aged ninety-five.
