Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, says his administration is ready to work with the Netherlands in enhancing the cooperation between the country and Lagos to make it more mutually benefiting.
Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this at the State House, Alausa, Ikeja, when the Delegates from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands led by by its Consul-General to Nigeria, Jan Van Weijen, paid him a courtesy visit.
The Governor who welcomed the Consul-General to Lagos after twenty years, congratulated him on his appointment, noting that Netherlands and Lagos had a lot of things in common as they were both below the sea level.
Governor Sanwo-Olu commended Netherlands which had over the years worked with Lagos in the area of its health insurance scheme, transportation which included traffic control and management, waterways, among others, adding that the state was ready to take the cooperation to the next level.
Speaking earlier, the Netherlands Consul-General to Nigeria, Jan Van Weijen, reiterated the commitment of Netherlands to further strengthened the cooperation with the state in the area of renewable energy, entrepreneurship, transportation, environment, education, insurance and health to support the policy trust of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
