Ikeja Electric rolls out 450000 meters for Shomolu

As part of plans to curb estimated billings and increase power supply, the Ikeja Electric IKEDC has rolled out customer engagement and sensitization on the Meter Asset Provider Initiative, MAP.

This according to the Chief Commercial Officer, Ikeja Electric, Folake Soetan, was to allow residents understood the procedure of getting a Meter, liaise with their MAP agents and understood the benefits of being metered.

Soetan, who explained that Ikeja Electric will work with CDC and CDA chairmen, warned against paying to any of its staff but visit its website for payment.

On their part, residents of Somolu received the news of the roll out programme with joy, while appealing to the government to do more in terms of power supply and reduction in price of the meters.
