Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration will put necessary modalities in place to ensure that the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs on Health, Education, Water Sanitation among others, are achieved in the State.
Governor Sanwo-Olu noted this today in Victoria Island, while declaring open the Annual African Forum for Research and Education Health, AFREhealth Symposium, themed: Strengthening Health Research, Education and Service Delivery for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa”.
The Governor who was the Special Guest at the Symposium noted that the theme was apt, saying Lagos would continue to increase its commitment to ensure universal health coverage for Lagosians so that no one would be left behind.
A Speaker at the Symposium, the Former Health Minister, Professor Isaac Adewole, noted that Africa still had the challenges of achieving the Goals on Universal health coverage which could be achieved through research and innovation.
Adewole said there was need for governmenst to ensure Healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages.
