Lagos takes drug abuse campaign to schools

Lagos State Government, has commenced a train-the-trainers sensitisation campaign against drug abuse with the aim of expanding the reach of the campaign to all government-owned primary and secondary schools in the state.

According to the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, government is poised to explore every means available to dissuade the youth of the State from indulging in the practice.

Its Commissioner, Agboola Dabiri, said the decision to take the campaign to schools across the State was informed by the determination of government to leave no stone unturned in curbing the spread of abuse of drugs among youths.

He said this while declaring the Training open at Onikan Youth Centre, Lagos.
